Our philosophy:
Our goal is not to busy ourselves with the latest and greatest youth activities, but rather to build relationships that will challenge us in our walk with God. We believe the home is the major foundation in guiding young people into truth and we desire to support and encourage the parent in that endeavor.
When we meet together, our hope is that we will purposefully pursue God-centeredness, Community, and Mission. We want the Lord to be the focus of everything we do, and serving the Lord together with our church family is a crucial aspect of our mission. While we will enjoy being together in the community and building relationships in that way, we don’t want it to end there. We desire for those relationships to carry us into service within the church, but also out in the community as well.
We also feel that it is very important that children and youth (especially those who are members) see themselves as part of the whole church. It is our hope that as they think of their connection with Two Rivers, it would not be as part of “the youth group”, but as an integral part of the church.
Our Two Rivers Youth Ministry holds a variety of activities and events as the church calendar allows:
- Bible Studies
- Game Nights/activities
- Missions Trip
- Local Service activities – window washing, brush removal/clean-up, etc
