“Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”  1 Corinthians 16:13-14

God has given men very important roles in the church and in society.  It is vital that men have a strong walk with the Lord so they can be examples in their local church, in homes, and in their workplace.  There are so many temptations and trials that go along with being a godly man.  So we work to encourage, equip, and energize the men of Two Rivers to become all God has purposely designed each man to be through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, discipleship, leadership, and obedience to the inerrant Word of God.

Throughout scripture, we are told to encourage one another.  In 2 Thessalonians 5, we are told to “encourage one another and build each other up” and to “encourage the timid, help the weak, and be patient with everyone.”  Hebrews tells us to “encourage one another daily…so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”  How are we to encourage one another, however, if we do not know the struggles that others are facing?  How are we to help each other if we do not know the areas where help is needed?  How are we to build each other up if we don’t know what areas need to be strengthened in another’s life?

The women’s group at Two Rivers provides time for the women of the church to get to know one another better, pray together, study together, and encourage one another in our walks with the Lord.
